Simpler Times is a mobile app designed to create retro style wallpapers that make an iPhone lock screen look like the front of an iPod.

Simpler Times is respectful of the user's right to their content and data. As such the app doesn't send or store any user data outside the user's iPhone.

Here are some specific details about the data stored in the app and how it is used:

Local Data

When you download Simpler Times, the app checks the iPhone model and saves it. This information is used to optimise the wallpapers created in the app, for the user's iPhone screen, i.e. the screen width, screen height and screen corner radius. The app doesn't ask or collect any personally identifiable information as name, email address, phone, age, gender or photo. In addition to the iPhone model, the user gets to choose an iPod model that they owned. This is saved as the default iPod model to generate wallpapers with.

Furthermore, the wallpapers created by the user are stored in the app for the user to download at any time.

None of the above data is transferred or saved outside the user's device in any manner.

Collection of Device and App Usage Data

During your usage of the app, one specific detail about your device, i.e. the iPhone model (e.g. iPhone 15, iPhone 16 Pro etc.) is collected and stored locally. The sole purpose of this is to enhance the wallpapers to fit the screen correctly.

Data Disclosure Practices

We do not save, share or sell any additonal user data collected in this app. Refer to the Local Data section above to read about the data stored in this app.

Data Retention

The app doesn't store any data outside the user's device, and as such does not retain any user data. To delete all data stored in the app locally, the user can simply uninstall the app and this deleted any and all data collected or stored in the app.

Changes to this Policy

We may need to update this policy to account for changes in our business and applicable laws. If we change this policy, we will post the new version here. If the changes are significant we will notify you through the app.
